Ever wonder why year after year poison ivy comes back—sometimes with a vengeance? It's usually because of a phenomenon known as the "edge effect." The edge effect occurs when sunlight, temperature, wind or moisture conditions change due to a disturbance in the boundary between a natural habitat and a more developed area. Environmental condition changes can cause the interior of wooded areas located at the edge of your property to dry out. In turn, drier conditions encourage rampant growth of opportunistic weeds like poison ivy, poison sumac, poison oak, kudzu and wild blackberry, among others. Regular applications of Roundup Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer will help minimize this occurrence. Special Caution:
Be careful when applying Roundup Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer. Do not spray surrounding and desirable lawn grasses, groundcovers or nearby plants as they may also be killed. If desirable plants are accidentally sprayed, wash them immediately with water. Do not use Roundup Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer around edible food or crops. Re-enter the treated area only after the product has completely dried.

Poison ivy is a woody perennial often found climbing up trees located in the shade. Sometimes it can look like the tree it's climbing! Poison ivy can even branch out two or three feet, making it look even more like a tree. Don't mistake older poison ivy vines for tree limbs. To kill vines, cut them to 3-4 feet and saturate the leaves with Roundup Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer. Never dig up or burn a vine. Destroying it by digging or burning can cause an itchy rash or a more serious skin or lung irritation. Roundup Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer is absorbed through actively growing leaves, so if you inadvertently spray the nearby bark of a mature tree, you likely won't damage it. Special Caution:
